Searching for the ‘Captains Courageous’ in the Northern Atlantic, Timo reaches the remote Cape Codfish, only to discover that the fishermen’s nets have been cast in vain for years. There are no fish left. What happened? It is then that he meets old captain Escondido. The boy learns that the codfish population is threatened and is struggling to reproduce in time.
